About 2 months ago, the land prices in SL was like around l$6-8 sq-mt, but as of this week they seem to have reached around l$15-20 sq-mt, which is about double. The main reason I can think of for the doubling in land prices, is the rapid expansion of the population in SL, and not enough new mainland is been provided by the Lindens. So basically its a buyers economy, just like RL. However it appears some people are getting upset, as it appears there is a proliferation of ‘Do Not Buy Land’ protest cubes in various sites around SL. To these whingers i say ‘tough luck’. SL is just reflecting what happen in the real world.
